Set limits before you play
- Decide a loss ceiling per session and per month; write it down while you are calm.
- Use the operator's built-in tools: deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, cool-off periods.
- Keep gambling funds separate from money for rent, bills or savings. Use a separate wallet or account.
- Never chase losses. A bigger bet to win it back is how a bad night becomes a bad year.

Signs gambling is becoming harm
Spending more than planned, borrowing to gamble, hiding play from people close to you, thinking about gambling during work or sleep, irritability when not playing, or viewing a future win as the solution to debt. Any one of these is worth acting on early; none of them means you are beyond help.
Self-exclusion
Every reputable operator offers self-exclusion: a request that closes your account for a chosen period, often with an irreversible cooling-off window before it can be reconsidered. Ask support in writing and keep the confirmation. If one account is closed but another opens easily elsewhere, exclusion lists at national schemes (where they exist for licensed markets) are stronger protection than per-site requests alone.
